Netball Section

2022… With a new year, brings new people to our club, new adventures, and the re-invigoration of our netball section.

Despite the fantastic representation of our E grade in 2021, we are sadly missing representation in the other Grades, including our juniors. So lots of hard work is taking place by a small group of people to help rebuild our Netball section BUT we’re going to need your help to spread the word loud and far!

We have been in consultation with Netball Great Shirley Fagan and Geelong Cougar administrator Lisa McFarlane; who have been invaluable in offering advice and support along the way.

We are also working with Northern Bay College and Ros Livingston, where we will work with the local school systems to foster teams, coaches and re-seed the Netball pathway to the Seagulls.

Full inclusivity aspects of our community, is also a high priority for the club.

Do you know players who may be looking for opportunities to play higher grades that may be held up in the lower ranks of the other clubs? Looking for a new inclusive club? Looking for a new start? A returning player?

Are YOU one of these Players or Coaches? Or would YOU like to help out behind the scenes?

Tell your partners, your mums, your girlfriends, your sisters, your daughters, your aunts, your neighbours and everyone in between.

The Club is open immediately to YOU! Come and experience our amazing Gym, access to our trainers and facilities.

We officially plan to kick off Monday, February 15 at 5:30pm. Then again on Wednesday, February 17 at 5:30pm. (Don’t worry if you can’t make it, fill out expression of interest forms and we’ll be in touch.)

Then on Friday, February 18, commencing at 5:00pm, the Club will host a Garden Party, the first gathering of the club for 2022. Think live music, food to purchase and drinks (at bar prices) on the Windsor Park terrace. More details on that next week, however pop it in your diary!

Whilst it may be a little basic whilst we find our feet, take pride in the fact that you’ll be a part of the rebuild of North Shore Netball; as we implement our strategy and help make a difference getting us back to the club that we once were.
